We’ve all been to a wedding where we were given a favor that just ends up in a junk drawer somewhere. And once it’s your turn to start planning, deciding on what to give your guests as favors can be rather stressful. Weddings are expensive, so you don’t want to have to shell out a ton of money for favors, BUT, you want to gift something that people will actually use. So today’s post is our top 10 wedding favors your guests actually want!

Donation

In my opinion, favors are nice. But are they necessary? I’m not sure. If there is a charity or foundation that is near and dear to your heart, you can donate to them in your guest’s honor.

Plants or succulents

Your guests can display them almost anywhere, and succulents are especially easy to keep.

Candles

Gifting your guests a candle as a thank you is always a winner. You can make them relatively cheap or source some from the dollar store, and create your own wedding labels. One thing I recommend is to stick with a relatively light scent that most people like, like lavender or vanilla perhaps. Or maybe even gift unscented candles.

Matches

Okay, so this favor idea may be one that ends up in the junk drawer, BUT, they will be used! They’re so handy to have around for candles, and could even take them camping. Every time they use the matches, they’ll think of you!

Lotto Tickets

Okay, so this may sound like a strange one. But most people think a little scratch ticket is fun, and who knows, maybe there will be a big winner. You could have them in little bags that say “lucky in love”. How fun!

Candy bags

This is a great favor idea. Most people love sweets, and this can double as your dessert and favor. Give little bags out to the guests, let them fill them, and take them home!

Popcorn

Another snack related idea is bags of popcorn. It’s a great light snack and can be placed in customized bags!

Seeds

Giving out seeds as a wedding favor has become rather popular. Placed in a bag that reads “let love grow”, and is an affordable favor option. Bonus is you can find a cute little pot to fill with soil, so the guests don’t require anything extra!

Chocolates

I mean, need I say more? Who doesn’t love chocolate?

Bottle openers

So most people have a bottle opener already, but it is always nice to have a spare!

Okay, so that’s our list of the top ten wedding favors your guests actually want. We hope this post gave you some fun, and budget-friendly favor ideas!
