When it comes to wedding planning, the long list of to-do’s can be long, and time-consuming. So, I know what I am about to say may make some roll their eyes, DIY. Sure, if you have an unlimited wedding budget, DIYing your wedding may not be necessary. But for most of us, our budgets are important, and if you or someone you know is creative and crafty, DIYing can make your wedding day extra unique!
Today’s blog post will focus on the best wedding DIY projects! One thing to keep in mind, however, is this post is about budget-friendly DIY. Sure you could make your own wood benches for your ceremony, but in reality, it probably makes more sense to just rent the larger items you need.

Wedding Program/Seating Chart

Paper copies are so 2019, and in a world where we are becoming more environmentally conscious, why print out hundreds of papers to hand out to your guests, who in turn, just end up throwing them away? Here’s a great alternative. By making your own signs to display around the ceremony or reception, you can avoid the garbage, and add a cool, unique touch to your décor!

Table Numbers

This is one of my favorite topics, as wedding numbers can be so basic, yet can be so fun! For example, you could use an old book, and paint the numbers on the front. Or perhaps a family member has small old wood stumps laying around, that you could use to make a table number like seen in the photo! How fun!

Photo Props

Many people hire professional photographers, and some will even rent a photo booth. But as mentioned, this is all about being budget-friendly. So why not create some fun props or photo backgrounds, and let your guests use their own cameras (phone)? Then they can even upload the photos to a group album, or via your wedding hashtag! This is just one idea, and can be found on Etsy!

Invitations

Wedding stationery adds up, fast! There are so many online platforms that allow you to get creative and design a super beautiful invitation. Actually, you could create all the designs for your wedding! Check out sites like Canva. They even have printing options if needed. And remember, budget-friendly. So why not do Evites? They are becoming more and more popular!

Guest Book

This is the last DIY idea we will touch on today. And I saved it for last because this is the only I get most excited about. There are just infinite ideas. From a traditional guestbook, so an empty scrapbook with a polaroid camera, you really can’t go wrong. But my favorite guestbooks are ones that really mean something to the couple and is something that can be showcased in their home with pride. This record idea is a showstopper. I think this trend will be all over social media before we know it.
