After last week’s post, I wanted to touch on a lighter topic for this week. What better than to discuss the top wedding songs from this past year. This blog will cover first dance songs, father/daughter dances, DJ music, and more. Hopefully, this will help make some of those wedding planning decisions a little easier. So what are we waiting for? Here are some of the top wedding songs of 2020. I will post a link to each song so you can check them out!

First Dance Songs

Joshua Radin with his song “you got my thinking”.

Dan & Shay (with Justin Bieber) “10,000 hours”

Harry Styles “Adore You”

For the country music lovers:

Kip Moore “Love You to The Moon”

My personal favorite is the folky Garrett Keto’s “I’ll Be Around”

Make sure to check out the acoustic version also!

Tom Walker’s “Just You and I” is a great choice for a more playful, upbeat first dance. Make sure to give it a listen!

Ocie Elliot “Thinking About You”

Imagine Dragons “Birds”

Julia Bardo ” I want to Feel Love” is a very 80’s reminiscent choice if that’s your style. It’s a super fun and catchy song!

We are going to round out our first dance list with Lana Del Rey’s “Love Song”. The perfect slow dance ballad. Just a reminder there is explicit language in the linked version.

Reception Songs

Who better to start this list than Lizzo with her song “Juice”. This song is sure to get people dancing!

Another winner to get people up and dancing is Justin Bieber’s “yummy”.

Jonas Brother’s “What a Man Gotta Do”

A great addition to a reception is Maroon 5 “Memories”

Camila Cabello “My Oh My”

Tones and I  “Dance Monkey”

Jax Jones dance melody “This Is Real”

Taylor Swift “Paper Rings”

Ava Max “Sweet but Psycho”

Were going to round out our reception song list with “Don’t Start Now”, by Dua Lipa.

To be honest, the reception song list could go on and on. 2020 saw so many great dance hits! So if this list isn’t as full as you’re looking for, just look up the top 2020 charts!

Songs like “if I can’t have you, senorita, bad guy, and more. The options are limitless! And remember, this list is only taking new songs into account. There are so many beautiful and fun classics to add to your wedding!

I hope this list helps you come up with some unique music choices for your big day! As always, if you are getting married in the Kansas City area, please get in touch with us!
